As the national president of The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music & Worship Arts, I want to invite you to our upcoming national convocation, July 24-27, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The event, Awaken 2017, has been inspired by the 60th anniversary of the Little Rock Nine and the forced desegregation of Central High School. The convocation will help us understand how we as worship designers and leaders must be attuned to the injustices that continue to exist in our world—and how worship shapes us all to claim our role as Christ’s partners in bringing God’s reign here on earth.
I passionately believe that this convocation with its challenging theme will be transformative for those who attend — so much so that The Fellowship is offering discounted registrations to all worship artists in the Texas Annual Conference.
